Before you begin
Is Asympta Writing a notes app or a journal?
It is an infinite handwriting canvas for free-form notes, sketches and visual thinking. It can be used for journaling, but Asympta Paperie is better suited to page-based diary keeping.
Can I write offline?
Yes. The canvas works offline without an Asympta account. iCloud or optional Google Drive backup requires the appropriate account and network access.
What is included for free?
Handwriting and editing tools, local storage, iCloud sync when available, and up to three Spaces. A one-time Lifetime purchase unlocks unlimited Spaces and optional Google Drive backup.
Does it support Apple Pencil and Mac?
Yes. The app supports Apple Pencil on compatible iPads and is listed on the App Store for iPhone, iPad and Mac.
