Overview
Asympta is designed around local-first storage and data minimization. The Free plan provides every canvas, editing, and export tool, local storage, iCloud backup, and up to three Spaces without an app account. Lifetime unlocks unlimited Spaces and the optional Google Drive, cross-provider backup, and purchaser-invitation features described below. Apple, Google, or EverFormLab services are used only when you intentionally use the related cloud, purchase, invitation, or support feature.
Asympta contains no advertising, third-party analytics, or cross-app / cross-site tracking, and does not sell personal data.
Local data
- Handwriting, text, world names, and preferences are stored only on your device by default.
- If you use free iCloud backup, the canvas archive is transmitted to your private CloudKit database through Apple. Google Drive receives canvas archives only when Lifetime is active and you choose to connect Google Drive.
- Google Drive authorization tokens and other sensitive credentials are stored only in the device system Keychain.
- Deleting the app may remove local data. If sync has been enabled, cloud copies must be managed or deleted through the applicable service.
iCloud & purchases
- Asympta checks whether iCloud is available on the device. The app does not request the name or email address of your Apple Account.
- When iCloud backup is available and used, the canvas archive is stored in the private CloudKit database associated with your Apple Account, with transfer and storage handled by Apple. iCloud backup is free and is not part of the paid Lifetime entitlement.
- Lifetime unlocks unlimited Spaces, Google Drive backup, cross-provider merge/recovery, and purchaser invitations. Purchases and offer redemptions are processed by Apple StoreKit and the App Store. EverFormLab does not receive credit-card details or complete payment information.
Google Drive sync
Asympta starts Google's authorization flow only when you choose to connect Google. The app requests only access to the hidden Google Drive App Data folder (drive.appdata); it does not request your name, email address, general Drive files, or contacts. When Lifetime is active, Google Drive can participate in backup and cross-provider reconciliation. If iCloud is also available, the converged archive may be stored both in the hidden Google Drive folder and in your private CloudKit database, subject to Google's and Apple's terms and privacy policies.
Asympta reads and writes only the archives it creates in that hidden folder. Google user data obtained through the API is not used for advertising, analytics, credit profiling, or resale. Asympta's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can sign out of Google within the app and revoke access from the third-party connections settings of your Google Account. To delete cloud copies stored by Asympta in Google Drive, remove Asympta's hidden application data from Google Drive's Manage Apps settings.
Invitation feature
When a Lifetime purchaser claims a discount invitation, the app sends the selected invitation slot and a pseudonymous transaction identifier verified by the App Store to the EverFormLab invitation service. This is used to verify the purchase, limit each purchaser to two invitations, and prevent duplicate claims. If Apple is still processing an invitation-code batch, the service records the verified transaction and slot as a pending claim so the same request can be completed on a later retry without losing the slot. It is a post-purchase promotional arrangement and does not change the Free plan's access to canvas tools, iCloud backup, or up to three Spaces. The process does not require a name, email address, or phone number. The identifier and pending or completed slot record are retained only for as long as necessary to provide and protect the invitation program.
Device system features
Asympta uses on-device audio, haptics, time, and local storage to provide wind sound, foreground haptic feedback, daylight simulation, and content persistence. These local features do not send usage data to the developer. Background wind sound is an option you can turn on or off; iOS pauses Core Haptics after the app enters the background.
Support email
If you choose to email support, the message contents, reply address, and any information you voluntarily attach are processed by the email service and used only to understand and respond to that support request. Please do not include unnecessary private content.
This support website
This website is static and has no custom analytics, tracking pixels, advertising, or login. The hosting provider may process standard network logs required to serve the website according to its own policies.
Retention, deletion & security
- Local content remains until you delete it in the app or remove the app. Whether it can be restored from a device backup depends on Apple's device-backup settings.
- iCloud and Google Drive archives remain until you remove the cloud data through the applicable service. Signing out of Google in the app alone does not automatically delete existing cloud copies.
- While the invitation program operates, the invitation service retains pseudonymous transaction identifiers, pending or completed slot records, and assigned offer-code records to enforce the two-invitation limit, preserve a claim while Apple processes code inventory, prevent duplicate issuance, and address abuse. Offer codes are stored encrypted.
- Support email is retained only for as long as needed to handle the issue and reasonable follow-up, or for a longer period when required by law.
- Network requests use HTTPS. Google tokens are stored in the system Keychain, and iCloud content uses a private CloudKit database.
Any third party with whom Asympta shares user data must provide the same or equivalent protection described in this policy.
To ask about or request deletion of invitation or support data controlled by EverFormLab, contact the email address below with enough purchase/device-related information to identify the relevant record. To avoid deleting the wrong data, we may first need to verify the corresponding pseudonymous transaction record. Deleting invitation records may invalidate already issued links or prevent the same invitation slot from being used again.
Policy updates
If Asympta's data practices change, this page will be updated with the new date and content before the new practice takes effect. You may continue using every canvas, editing, and export tool with local storage and up to three Spaces in the Free plan without enabling any cloud service.
